November 2018, Winners of the NJMTA Young Musicians Competition

Congratulations to David Sun and Alexander Suponya – winners of the 2018 New Jersey Music Teachers Fall Competitions! As a result, both David and Alexander performed at the annual NJMTA conference in November, 2018 at the Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey.

David Sun, 11 – 1st place in the State of New Jersey, winner of the 2018 New Jersey Music Teachers Association Young Musicians Competition.
Alexander Suponya, 16 – Winner of the NJMTA Advanced Master Class Competition.

January , 2018 Princeton Symphony Orchestra Master Class

On January 27,  Alexander Suponya, 15, performed for a master class with Simone Dinnerstein in Bristol Chapel on the campus of Westminster Choir College in Princeton. The master class was part of the Princeton Symphony Orchestra’s  Bravo! series, developed in partnership with Westminster Conservatory of Music. Alexander became one of four students in the state selected through a competitive audition for the master class participation. He performed Enrique Granados “Quejas, o la Maja y el Ruisenor” from “Goyescas”. The performance and the master class was streamed live worldwide.

November 2017, NJMTA Young Musicians Competition Winners

Leda Wang, 16 becomes a 2d place winner in the state of New Jersey  in the annual Young Musician Competition organized by the New Jersey Music Teachers Association.

Evan Lin, 11 becomes a recipient of  Honorable Mention.

April 2017, Distinguished Pedagogy Award presented at Carnegie Hall

It is a great honor for me to become a recipient of  the Distinguished Pedagogy Award. The award was presented by the International Music and Arts Society at Carnegie Hall, Zankel Hall in New York on April 22.
